3lb. Soul is an Alternative Christian Rock Band and an Outreach Ministry all wrapped into one. Wide ranging musical styles... from acoustic worship to rowdy alternative/punk rock reach diverse audiences.

Every show is molded to uniquely fit its venue. We can be crazy and jump around and even mosh for youth and college groups, or settle down on stools in a cafe or to a quieter more casual audience. Our goal is to minister to the souls we play for in the fashion that their hearts need to hear the message. We will not compromise the truth, and unless specifically requested not to, we usually do a short acoustic act even in the middle of our rock concerts, and introduce a brief time of testimony and prayer before we rock out or finish a show. We are however more than happy to respect any venues preference, so feel free to tell us if you would just prefer the music. We believe the words in the songs do speak for themselves.

Our sound is straight Seattle alternative/modern/ rock meets punk, but with testimony based and worship based lyrics. The songs were written in such a way that you can hear our hearts poured out ... naked and honest in the music. People listen to what they think sounds good, and has a good hook... combine that with a story the world can relate to, and you have the audience member's hearts. These songs are catchy, but most importantly these songs have a strong spiritual-Christ centered message in every metaphor and rhyme, that can encourage even the toughest souls to let go and let God.

You can find us playing for youth groups, troubled youth facilities and youth detention centers. We play for the US military bases, shelters and prisons. Festivals such as Freedom fest, X Fest, Grace Fest, the Puyallup fair, and even cafes work for us too as we pretty much play wherever God gives us a gig.

We are available both locally and nationally however, national gigs need at least a couple months notice to book. We work with Grace Town Records, J2 Entertainment, and The Music Insider non-exclusively… and if you want a band with slammin tunes but real meat in the message we are the band for your event.

Chelsi Lee and DaLona are the heart of 3lb. Soul. Chelsi is a prolific songwriter, having played the piano since she was 6 and the guitar since age 15. With an incredibly beautiful voice and amazingly anointed words, she performs as the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and executive songwriter.

DaLona on second vocals, effects guitar and as associate songwriter intuitively hears the harmonies and helps make the music come alive with her God given talent. These sisters are two of the most talented vocalists/artists in Christian music today, covering a wide range of musical styles.

Together, with the help of the Lord, Chelsi and DaLona have put together a solid group of musicians that not only give an amazing studio performance as heard on their albums "Rags to Wings" and "Dusty Bible", but this band also has an amazing live act, so the crowd is always kept pumped up for the next big bash.

Dan: A phenomenal drummer with a unique Rock/Jazz edge. He really has a way of getting the crowd all riled up! Often towards the end of a show.. when he is feeding off the crowd, he will just keep slamming grooves thundering through the room, even when the music is over. This almost always gets the crowd demanding "ONE MORE SONG!!!"

Mark (aka "Gozz" or "Reverend Rumble"): The sickest bass grooves in town. His licks are proof that it takes talent to play true Seattle grunge! Gozz has captivating stage presence, and he always knows how to keep the audience head banging. Occasionally he will even jump into the crowd to jam.

Corey (aka C-Dawg) is the craziest and most equipped guitar player we have ever had. Corey fills in any holes in the music, and writes crazy leads that he duals with DaLona. His unique sounds and patches pull in an intriguing "Edge" to the music.

Robert: The newest member is multi gifts and plays keys, percussion and guitar. He is also attempting to learn violin and someday hopes to add that edge to the bands as well. He is creative and animated, just the polish that this act needed.

The guys in this band are gifted musicians full of integrity; they are truly the glue that holds the sound together! They not only share in the musical aspect of the band, they often participate along with Chelsi and DaLona in giving testimonies and altar calls.

Every member of 3lb. Soul is a believer that Jesus Christ is their personal Lord and Savior, and the love and joy that flows between the band members makes 3lb. Soul a blast to see live! They all give credit for their talent to the Lord and the band is always eager to come down and personally pray with the audience , as well as meet with their fans, the press and others who are drawn to the music and the ministry.

3lb. Soul packs out the house at most of their performances with extreme and enthusiastic audience participation. Twice now their have been shows where people had to watch through the windows on the streets or some were even standing in broom closets to fit in since the venue was so full.

3lb. Soul is an exceptional band with powerful, all-original music that is emotional, spiritual and inspiring. The bottom line though for the band is that Christ gospel gets spread. With all the fun whether it be an acoustic gig or a raging rock concert, the message, testimonies, and the walk s of these band members reflect Christ love and grace.
