Olive & Iron (formerly Covenant) was formed in 2001 under the leadership of vocalist/guitarist David Magness along with his brother Justin Magness on
drums. "BUT GOD…" their debut CD, was released in the Spring of 2003. Quickly following this they experienced some national radio success with the
release of "The Lamb", a track from "BUT GOD…" The song was chosen to be included on a compilation disc along with The Benjamin Gate and PAX217
which was released to over 1,000 radio stations across the country. O&I has finished the recording of their second project, which has proven to be a very
exciting venture. Grammy Award winning songwriter and producer Ronald Magness, which happens to be the uncle of David and Justin, has produced the
soon to be released CD. The new tunes are much more edgy, with crunchy guitar riffs and compelling
lyrics. O&I seems to be discovering their sound as they continue to mature musically. The Band keeps a
busy schedule as they share their ministry in various venues ranging from Churches, Christian
Coffeehouses and Clubs, to Festivals, Retreats, and Camps. O&I has also shared the stage with National
Bands such as Jeremy Camp, Building 429, Kutless, Fusebox, By The Tree, Jonah33, Disciple, Spoken, KJ
-52, Krystal Meyers, Pocket Full Of Rocks, Adam Watts and Strange Celebrity. Below are some comments about Olive & Iron:
