Who is princess Amadi one might ask?
I am a young woman of God who has received a calling. A calling to praise and worship the Lord, A
Calling to be a mentor and counsel young women and above all A Calling to lead my generation to Christ Jesus.
A generation wrought with promiscuity, teen
pregnancy, substance abuse and high suicide rates. My generation is vanishing before our eyes. And though I am young I have been put at the crossroads of
life altering decisions many a time and without God's guidance I surely would have made bad decisions. It
is with this conviction that I made a promise and commitment to the Lord that I would bear testimony of
God's everlasting promises, Love and Hope with my peers. So that they can come to know that God has a plan for them in this turbulent world.
My musical journey with God begun when I was very young, as I realized that the Lord had blessed me
with a voice. At the age of tender age of ten my Mother and I had a tug of war as to which direction I
would exploit my musical talents, I wanted to sing R&B but she was wanted me to sing Praise and Worship songs for the Lord.
I was young and naive and wanted to be in the "in crowd" writing songs about love and relationships
topics I knew nothing about. But the Lord has a way of doing things and showing you what he wants you
to do anytime I tried to write an R&B song my mind would go completely blank, and when I wrote a gospel song I could feel the spirit and the pen would just move.
By the tender age of fourteen I began writing songs about what God meant to me, I also started
experiencing trials and tribulation triggered by peer pressure. The Lord took me through them all picking me
up when I fell. It was also during this time that God started to show me what my Ministry was to be as
young girls from my school began coming up to me or leaving notes in my locker asking me my advice on
certain situations in their lives. As I read their desperate pleas of help I thought to myself how can I help
these girls? I am not perfect myself? but the Lord helped me and gave me wisdom on what to say. As I
interceded for them the Holy Spirit filled me with a powerful prayer language and these young women
begun to come to church and fellowship. God's message of Love and Forgiveness was the balm healing these broken young women.
I was led to help these young women to deal with peer pressure and temptation so God could work in
their lives to enable them to stay pure and virtuous before God. That is why I penned to song "Don't Rush"
the title song off my first album. It is only through God's grace that we can triumph over the world's
temptations, it is Christ's ultimate sacrifice that brought a young girl called Princess to the throne of the
Living God. And finally as I walk and learn from my Lord that I am compelled to deliver his message of
Love, forgiveness and Grace to his children. In everything I do I give him his glory because its not about fame or money, its about winning souls for his kingdom and that's it!
