Imagine Walking In Your Destiny! 2Godio is doing it. This 27-year-old Urban Gospel artist is walking in what God has ordained on his life with his freshman
CD "To God I Owe Everything". This Memphis native started singing in the church choir at the age of 8. He was musically influenced by the soulful tunes of
Rev. C. L. Franklin, Orlando Draper and the Associates, Kevin Davidson and the Voices, Kirk Whalum, Curtis Mayfield, Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond
, Rev. Al Green, and many, many others. At the age 12, among gospel legends Shun Pace, Milton Brigham, Orlando Draper, and Rev. Clay Evans,
2Godio recorded his first professional album while singing with the ARRC Mass Community Choir.
2Godio began playing the saxophone for his home church at the age of 15. His passion for
music grew and earned him 1st chair saxophonist for the concert, marching and jazz bands while
in high school. After graduating from high school, 2Godio became a saxophonist for the Southwestern State Community College jazz band.
Desiring a higher education and realizing his gift for encouraging people, 2Godio pursued and
obtained a Bachelors of Science in Community and Public Health from Middle Tennessee State
University (MTSU). While at MTSU, 2Godio began to receive invitations to render his gifts on
stages with mainstream secular artist such as The Isley Brothers and Arista recording artist "Nappy Roots".
2Godio's delivery of music has a soulful urban gospel sound that doesn't discriminate against
any message or music lover. He confesses that God is still encouraging and saving souls
through music. 2Godio is passionate about going into the cracks and crevasses of the ghettos,
projects, inner cities, rural country sides and suburbs to offer Christ to those who are sitting in spiritual darkness or who have lost their motivation to live right for Christ.
"Praise On", "2 God I Owe", Spirit vs. the flesh", "No Matter What", "World Listen", and "Just a
Test" just to name a few will speak directly into your life and into your situation. 2Godio continues
to show his divine versatility when using his vocal chords to sing soulful Urban Gospel
testimonials such as "Rain On Me", "Favor", "Relationship" and "Go Through". His interpretation of
Urban Gospel, Rhythm & Praise, and Holy Hip Hop will have you eagerly anticipating the Word that
will come forth through his debut album, "To God I Owe Everything". The timeless hit, "World
Listen" is currently featured on the worldwide distributed EMI/HolyHipHop records compilation,
"Taking the Gospel to the Street – Volume II". 2Godio (Archie Davis) is also featured on the hit
song, "Dance Dance Dance" by Judah Generation (Mt. Zion Baptist Church Youth Choir- Nashville,
TN) which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2005. All selections rendered by 2Godio
clearly display the true reasons he confesses to the world that "To God He Owes Everything".
He is rapping, singing, and playing live soprano saxophone with precision. Take a moment and listen for yourself.
