Brothers Javi and Rod Godínez spent five years touring with an established regional/national band. They shared the stage with various big name artists such as The Goo Goo Dolls, Eminem, The Strokes, N.E.R.D., Jane's Addiction and many more.  After partying ways with the band, Javi and Rod decided to put together a new band that was more in touch with their Latin American roots.

Joined by Mike Smirnoff, Jay Rosenthal, and Aaron Suplizio, STONE GATO was born. STONE GATO blends rhythms from Latin America and Africa with elements of rock and funk to create infectious beats and tender melodies.  STONE GATO's down-to-Earth lyrics are the final ingredient to this unique recipe they call music.  Whether singing in English or Spanish, STONE GATO's masterful musicianship, energy, and charisma on stage set audiences on fire.
